Description

Pikey Peak Trek is a spectacular experience, which one must have on their to-do list while traveling to Nepal. This was even regarded as Sir Edmund Hillary’s favorite trekking path. The pinnacle of Nepal’s mountain trekking experiences is the Pikey Peak Trek. One of the best views of the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest, can be seen during the leisurely hike. Pikey Peak’s spectacular experience is further enhanced by the Khumbu region’s breathtaking landscapes and abundant greenery. Travelers can have a spiritual experience thanks to the numerous Buddhist monasteries and stupas. Your body, mind, and spirit are all cleansed by the peaceful air from the Himalayas.

The Pikey Peak trekking route begins with a quick drive from Kathmandu to Dhap, which takes about six to seven hours. From here, the trek begins on foot through Khumbu’s mild terrain. The hike from Dhap to Jhapre, where the breathtaking Numbur Himal is visible, will be the first time you see mountain ranges. There are numerous stupas and old yak huts along the hike from Jhapre to the base of Pikey Peak. The trail passes through wooded areas and grassy slopes. Rhododendron blossoms in the springtime color these forests. You will next pass to Junbesi after following the Loding ridgeline.

The tour of the historic Thubten Choeling Monastery in Junbesi comes next, and it takes roughly four hours to finish. Salung is reached via tough woodland trails from Junbesi. The breathtaking unhindered view of Khumbu giants such as Mount Everest, Mount Chamlang, Mount Makalu, and others is available here. After arriving in Phaplu, you will ride a little distance to Thamdanda and then hike to Paiya. The following day, we will go from Paiya to Phakding, passing through stunning hills and mountains. We will arrive at the legendary town of Namche Bazar the next day.

From there, we’ll progressively climb the Dudhkosi valley’s north side to reach thriving communities like Tengboche, Pangbuche, and Labuche. At the Everest Base Camp, where our journey comes to an end, you will get a closer look at the world’s tallest peak than before.

As we climb towards Kalapatthar, we can see the highest mountains in the world in 360 degrees, including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Khumbuste, Thamserku, and many more. We then travel to the area around Gorakshep before heading back to Namche Bazar and taking a plane to the capital from Lukla airport. On our way back, you are rewarded with breathtaking vistas of the Himalayas, along with the breathtaking valleys and hills.
