Useful Information:

List of equipment for the trek

The following is a short list of essential items for your Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake Trek with that you should not overlook:

Food available on the trek:

There are fifteen lunches, fourteen dinners, and fifteen breakfasts included in your trek package. Every meal is served full-board, which includes the main course. Typical meal selections include noodles, soups, momos, and Western cuisine in addition to regional fare like dal bhat (rice and lentils).

Every meal is served as a full-board meal. The majority of the food you eat will be fresh and locally sourced. Please notify us in advance if you are a vegetarian or vegan.

Accommodation available on the trek:

You will spend the night in a standard Kathmandu hotel. On the trek, teahouses will probably be the lodging option. In Nepal, teahouses are reasonably priced lodging options designed for tourists. Most of the accommodations are simple. They often have low-rise mattresses with foam mattress covers, plastered or wood-paneled walls, and a single window. Some teahouses have heaters in each room, but the majorities have a central burner that is lighted at night. There are also hotels that offer hot showers. The majority of locations provide electrical charging, even though it might already be charged. We advise double accommodations in our recommended schedule because it could be challenging to reserve a single room during the busiest season.

Best time to visit the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lake Trek:

Spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are the ideal seasons for trekking. Clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and the best views of the nearby peaks are all available during these times. At high elevations, springtime temperatures range from 20 °C during the day to -5 °C at night. The temperature is a little higher in the fall.

The monsoon season (June to August) provides heavy rain and challenging trail conditions in lower trek zones, while winter trekking is feasible but challenging due to thick snow covering the pathways at high elevations. At high elevations, winter temperatures range from 15 to -20 degrees Celsius, while summer temperatures range from 27 degrees Celsius during the day to 5 degrees Celsius at night.
